Over 15 years of working in various medical fields (8 of those alongside Dr. Wolthoff) have taught me that listening to the patient is the key to creating a productive and positive appointment experience.
Hi, I’m Karina. I began my healthcare career providing direct patient care to some of our most vulnerable populations. For eight years, I worked with long-term patients in assisted living and memory care, building strong relationships with both patients and their families.
I then spent a year working in a community clinic, where I participated in outreach programs designed to support families in need, often using my bilingual skills to help bridge communication gaps. Working in such a diverse environment has been both a privilege and incredibly rewarding.
When I’m not verifying insurance benefits or calling patients, I spend most of my time at home embracing my most important role, being a mom to my toddler. I also enjoy watching my favorite sports team with my husband.
I’ve worked as Dr. Wolthoff’s Patient Coordinator for over eight years and have had the pleasure of building professional relationships with many of you. Thank you for continuing to be part of our Intentional family. Although my role is now remote, I want to assure you that I’m always just a phone call away if you have any questions. Our address may change, but our commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care remains stronger than ever.

Hello! My name is Makenzie and I am one of the friendly faces you see at the front desk. I stumbled into the world of Dermatology and patient care in 2021 and honestly thought it was just going to be a stepping stone for me. I was quickly proven wrong and over two years later I can say that working in this field and specifically at this practice brings me so much joy. I love interacting with our patients and finding ways to help make their day just a little bit better, even if that is simply helping schedule their next appointment or recommending my favorite product.
I am so grateful to be a part of this little “dream team” here at Intentional Dermatology. It truly feels like working with family and I enjoy walking through our doors to do that every single day. Our staff is so incredibly warm and inviting and we make it our goal each day to provide the best service and care for you!
On my days off you can find me spending time with my family and friends. Some of my hobbies include reading, drawing, painting and designing. I have a passion for learning and creating and love all things related to both!

Hi, my name is Megan Marthiljohni! I am a Certified Medical Assistant at Intentional Dermatology and Heath. I grew up in Victoria, Texas and attended Texas A&M University where I earned my undergraduate degree. I went back to school in 2022 and earned my masters in Lifestyle Health Sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and became a Certified Heath and Wellness Coach. Working alongside Dr. Wolthoff has shown me the power of effective communication and compassion in healthcare! The quality of care she shows to her patients is something I will strive to do with my patients as a future Physician Assistant! I am so thankful to be apart of the wonderful team here at Intentional Dermatology. Our staff strives to facilitate an environment where patients feel welcomed and comfortable each and every day! When I am not at work you can find me reading, baking, running, and spending time with my family and friends!
Christina Wilhoite Wilhoite
Hi, my name is Christine. I am a Clinical Trainer, Licensed Aesthetician, and Veteran Laser Technician with nearly two decades of experience helping clients improve their skin health.
My career began in 2007 at a local medical spa, where I worked alongside multi‑specialist physicians. A few years later, I had the privilege of training under two dermatologists who deepened my knowledge of skin conditions, skin health, and advanced care modalities.
I expanded my expertise in facial aesthetics while working with plastic surgeons for two years, before returning to dermatology with the mentors I continue to admire.
Today, I serve as Clinical Development Manager for Texas, Head of Clinical for Novoxel Tixel, and a Clinical Trainer for over 170 laser devices across the U.S.
What drives me most is empowering both patients and professionals with the tools, treatments, and training that make a real difference in skin health and confidence.

I first started in administrative and management roles but quickly realized my heart was in hands-on patient care. Over the years, I’ve gained expertise in lasers, microneedling, chemical peels, and injectables. What I love most is creating customized treatment plans that bring out each patient’s natural beauty. For me, aesthetics isn’t just about treatments—it’s about helping people feel confident in their own skin. And while I’ll always be focused on results, I love that so many of my patients also feel like they’re visiting a friend.

Alongside my career, I am also a proud mom of four, and I enjoy spending quality time with my children, making fun memories, and enjoying life with my family.
